In order to realize our full potential we will put most time and energy into organic development in NextNovate and NextEnabler. People, people, people are our first three strategic priorities. Next to that MIH will lead on the following areas:
Recruiting and Onboarding
Recruiting is a core competence. Planning consists of who (e.g., technical competence, seniority, location, cultural/behavioral aspects, etc) to hire from where (e.g., university, industry, competition, etc). Becoming a brand among a defined target audience is therefore crucial. Once hired, rigorous onboarding is essential to immerse people in the culture and DNA. Our DNA is about truly taking ownership on the one hand and on the other hand having like minded though complementary personalities.
Learning and development (L&D)
The talented people we hire are typically young and ambitious. They see their employment primarily as a source of learning and growing. Key will be to have an individual program for key talent, that is founded on suitable assignments and off-the-job learning. Personalized targets for growth and development, along with feedback processes, is institutionalized.
Retention
The lion’s share of the talent pool we operate with has ample opportunities to work elsewhere. Also, many crave the freedom that comes with being an entrepreneur or freelancer. On top of a solid L&D agenda we will need to have a strong eye for compensation and have people share in the company’s success. Regular salary benchmarking and broad participation in option/SAR schemes are imperative.
Finance
Using the latest finance real time dashboarding principles, the MIH operating companies are being served to make sure operational management is able to steer and make fast, data driven, informative, decisions.
